Light Field Completion Using Focal Stack Propagation

Research project carried out under the supervision of Dr. Mick Grierson into developing a method for interactive object removal from light field images. I developed a novel method of; rendering an 'all in focus' image, applying constrained texture synthesis to a selected area in the 'all in focus' image, spliiting the syntheised segment into smalled segments based on depth, and propagaiting these synthesised segments back through the focal stack.

This project was completed as my undergraduate dissertation for my Bsc in Creative Computing from Goldsmiths, it can be read in full here. I presented this work as a poster at ACM SIGGRAPH 2016 .
