Mediated Perceptions is an experimental inquiry into the possibilities available by mediating the perceptual field. Using an Oculus Rift and stereo wide-angle webcams, the visual stream is manipulated by some realtime input; in this case music.
Everything is rendered in realtime, and the code was produced in C++ using the openFrameworks libraries.

Mediated Perceptions
Mediated Perceptions (2014) was a project exploring alternative sensory experiences made possible with augmented reality. Two cameras were attached to the front of an oculus rift that mimicked the field of view of the human eye. Custom software manipulated images in real-time before they were presented to the viewer. Presenting a visual field that responded to sound in the environment and to music.
